Tues.’s Devo -God’s Time Table

Read again Gen. 6:3

I used to read this and wonder what God meant when he said mans’ days will be 120 years when men went on to live hundreds of years. So, I came to the conclusion quickly that this must not mean what I though he was saying. God set up a law of Jubilee which should be celebrated every 50 years. (Lev. 25) At this time anyone who has had to sell their land has the right to buy it back at a fair price. If they have lost a family member to slavery, they can buy him back at this time also. For a whole year, they are to let the land lay dormant and not plant or reap. It is a time of freedom and rest. If you counted 120 jubilees you would get 6000 years which would be when Jesus would come back. In 2 Peter 3:8 it says, “But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us- ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” So we know that God measures a thousand years as a day. On the 7th day God rested and had a sabbatical jubilee. In the 7000th year this earth will rest in millennium. Even though our calendars are in 2012 A.D., the Jewish calendar is in 6,800. Only God knows the correct time but on a Roshashana during the 120th Jubilee, Jesus will come back. We don’t know the day, but we do know the season. God shows us secrets in types and shadows. Moses was a type of the law and he had to die before the people could enter the promised land. He died at the age of 120. Our promised land is the new heavens and the new earth that God promised in Revelations, so man shall have 120 jubilees then they will all enter the promised land. I pray this is not Greek to you, but will show us the greatness of our God.

Lord, your ways are so much higher than ours. We can not comprehend them but we love delving into your Word and finding your hidden mysteries. How great are you Lord!
