Read Pro. 11:22
I remember going to the fair when I was young and seeing the big pigs in their pens. They were some of the ugliest animals I had ever seen and they stunk. I can't imagine seeing a diamond in one of their snouts. I know this, If one of them had a gem in their nose, I would not want to get close to examine the beauty of the jewel because of the unpleasantness of the pig. That is the same way it is when a beautiful woman is without discretion. Her lack of self-respect takes away from her beauty and makes you want to look away instead of admiring her. We are suppose to honor God is everything we do: how we dress, how we carry ourselves and how we honor the body God has given us. We want people to be drawn to us so we can share with them the hope we have in Jesus.
The priests wore the ephod that had the stones of the tribes on their vest. We are to shine like those stones. Is. 61:10 says that God clothes us with the garments of salvation: the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom desks himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
Lord, may our beauty be salvation and righteousness and may others be drawn to your great light.
