Tues.'s Devo - Our Walk

Read Pr. 30:29-31
These verses talk about the walks of different animals that we should consider and emanate. The lion walks in kingly pride because he knows his place in the animal kingdom. He is not afraid of any other animal. The greyhound is a sprinter and not made for endurance. The male goat is very stable on his feet and can walk up trees if they have a slant to them. They can also balance on precarious rocks. The king, who rules in peaceful times is able to walk in peace and safety. We should be like the lion and know our place in the family of God. We should not be afraid of the enemy because we know that greater is he that is in us than him who is in the world. We should be like the greyhound and know how to run swiftly and be quick to obey the voice of God. We should be balanced and sure-footed like the goat who also uses his hoofs to fight off the enemy. Lastly, we should be like the king who walks in peace because of the peace in his heart.
Lord, help us to be bold, wise, peaceful and quick to obey in You.
