Thurs.'s Devo - God's Boundaries

Read Pr. 29:3,4
If you want to love God and please him you will love wisdom. God is wisdom personified. ("I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions." Pr. 8:12) He made us in his wisdom but if we spend our lives living foolishly and committing adultery then we are using our lives up. God established this land with boundaries. He made boundaries for the seas and the land and set laws for the animals. He explained all this to Job in the last 2 chapters of Job. He also created our bodies with boundaries. We have been given this land and our lives as a gift. Most people will take this gift and destroy it with their own hands. But we who are wise need to guard God's boundaries and honor the gifts God has given us. We need to take care of our spirits and what we allow to come into our lives and how we treat our physical bodies, and we need to honor the earth that God has given us as a gift.
Lord, forgive us for taking your gifts for granted and thinking they were ours to do with as we please. Show us ways to honor your boundaries in our lives and convict us of destroying what you have established.
