Thurs.'s Devo Vessels of Honor

Read Pr. 25:4-5
If you take away the dross from silver it can be forged into a beautiful object. It's the same way with us. The more we are willing to let God purify us the more beautiful we become in God's hand. And the more pliable we are the more he can use us. If we want our testimony to be established forever then we need to put away the sin in our lives and live righteously. Whenever a new king would come to the throne he would purge the kingdom of servants and men who weren't loyal to him. If he was a godly king then he also had to purge the land of idols which is what we have to do periodically in our own lives. To purify silver you have to put it under fire to burn out the dross. The most purest metals are transparent which is what we are suppose to be - so invisible that only Jesus shines through. But that will never happen unless we allow God's fire to cleanse us.
Lord, put us through the fire of your cleansing and burn up the dross in our lives. We want to reflect you and be made into vessels of honor.
